Content Management Software is a  Web based Newsletter publishing software design and developed for our US client- Schoolhousenews Inc..

v     Business Requirement

The application required to handle the full cycle of a School newsletter publishing every month. The cycle starts with a school uploading content for the month. A Graphic Designer downloads it, design the newsletter for the month and upload it for the school to review. The school review the newsletter nad upload changes if any. Upon downloading that the Graphic Designer finalize the newsletter for the month and upload final PDF file for the Printer to print. Also Ambassadors (Sales Representetive) collects Advertisements for the last page  of newsletter and upload that to a Graphic Designer to design and compose. Graphic Designer compose the last page and uploads it to be approived before sending whole newsletter to the printer. This newsletter publishing cycle shall be repeated each month. The whole application should be  User-friendly & intuitive in operations as well as keep proper log and status reports.

Solution was not simple. We maticulously design the flow of the system and the database. The system is designed to allow four type of user namely School, Graphic Designer, Ambassador and Printer besides Administrator. All user logs in to the system and does their work like Uploading, Downloading, Viewing content etc. using appropriate control panel. Administrator keep track of all Newsletters publishing cycles monitor them. A special administrator's control panel allows him view the status report besides lot of other tasks like  creating user, assigning tasks, creating stock image library etc.

The Project was web based an we used Microsoft  Technologies at core. ASP is main programming language we used besides HTML and Javascripts. Microsoft SQL server 2000 is Database we choose. Few component we developed  based on Microsoft's latest .NET technology.
